AlphaGen to Present First-in-Human SSTR2 Imaging Findings and Preclinical Alpha-Radioligand Therapy Data at EANM 2026

Oct 16, 2026

SHANGHAI, China, October 16, 2026 — AlphaGen Therapeutics (“AlphaGen” or the “Company”) today announced that two studies from its proprietary, next-generation SSTR2-targeted radiopharmaceutical program, AG1001, have been selected for presentation at the 2026 Annual Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM 2026). An investigator-initiated first-in-human imaging study of the ⁶⁸Ga-labeled molecule will be presented orally, while preclinical findings for the same molecule labeled with 225Ac will be presented as a poster. EANM 2026 will take place in Vienna, Austria, from October 17 to 21, 2026.

“AlphaGen is dedicated to the development of novel targeted alpha-emitting therapeutics. We've built a pipeline and R&D platform targeting multiple cancers, spanning early-stage research through clinical translation. At 2026 AACR, we previously presented preclinical findings from this molecular series labeled with Pb-212. At this EANM, we will share further progress, including human imaging research and new preclinical findings on the Ac-225-labeled molecule,” said Dr. Xiang S Ye, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer of AlphaGen Therapeutics. “Through continued clinical translation and exploration of different therapeutic radionuclides, we aim to further evaluate the development potential of this molecular scaffold across radionuclides and advance it from preclinical research toward clinical application.”

Oral presentation: Next-Generation SSTR2-Targeted Antagonist [⁶⁸Ga]Ga-AG1001: A First-in-Human Study on Tracer Uptake, Biodistribution, and Dosimetry

This first-in-human study evaluated tracer uptake, biodistribution, and dosimetry. Seven patients with SSTR2-positive tumors were enrolled, including patients with pancreatic or rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), paraganglioma, pheochromocytoma, and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). PET/CT scans were performed at 10, 30, 60, and 180 minutes after injection to systematically assess tumor uptake, biodistribution, and safety.

Findings include:

• Strong imaging contrast and sustained tumor retention

• Increasing tumor-to-kidney (T/K) ratios over time, indicating favorable target-to-background characteristics

• Rapid blood clearance, with favorable safety and dosimetry profiles

Poster presentation: Preclinical Characterization of [225Ac]Ac-AG1001, a Novel SSTR2 Antagonist Radiolabeled with Actinium-225

This study evaluated AG1001 binding activity for SSTR2, in vivo PET/CT imaging, biodistribution, and preclinical antitumor activity to explore the development potential of AG1001 labeled with Ac-225.

The study shows:

• Nanomolar binding affinity as an SSTR2 antagonist

• Rapid tumor uptake and renal clearance, and very low background

• A favorable pharmacokinetic profile compared with DOTATATE, with large tumor-to-kidney ratio

• More potent and durable antitumor activity following a single administration than [225Ac]Ac-DOTATATE

AlphaGen looks forward to engaging researchers and experts worldwide in nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and radiopharmaceuticals at EANM, fostering scientific exchange on radiopharmaceutical R&D and clinical translation. We welcome colleagues and industry partners from around the world to connect and exchange insights, and together to advance innovation in radiopharmaceuticals.
